Rebecca Collazo - Graphic Designer - About Me

I was born in Puerto Plata, a beautiful city on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. I have been living in New York City since March, 2000. As a child I was very enthusiastic about drawing, painting, crafting my own books and making magazines out of newspaper cutouts.
When I was thriteen years old I took a summer calligraphy course. Upon graduating from high school, my interests had shifted to Computer Science, in which I earned an associate degree in 1996. Shortly after graduation, a temporary job in a copy center gave my first experience with graphic design. In a few months I became assistant to the senior designer.
I entered the Art & Advertising Design program at the New York City College of Technology of the City University of New York in Fall 2004 and concentrated in print design and photography. In January 2008 I received an Associate of Applied Science in Art & Advertising Design with honors. I am working towards the completion of a Bachelor of Technology in Communication Design in June 2009.
